The 2022 Advocacy Forum will be held during National Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month in April. This signature event will provide an opportunity for individuals to advocate for the limb loss and limb difference community and elevate how our members thrive. This year’s Forum activities will be offered as three, one-hour events that will address the following:
-- New online lead advocacy training
-- Grassroots advocacy program
-- Diabetes-related prevention
The Amputee Coalition strives daily to build a vibrant network of advocates to advance the needs of the 2.1 million Americans living with limb loss and limb difference and the 28 million Americans at risk of experiencing limb loss. We also recognize this population will double by 2050. We believe the time to act is now to ensure support for those living with limb loss and limb difference.
It is also time to reinvigorate the grassroots advocacy program, which will improve organization, provide growth opportunities, and help to increase engagement from more advocates. The reimagined program will also increase empowerment among our grassroots advocates on the local level and help to grow the impact of Amputee Coalition’s advocacy efforts throughout the country.
